RadioX Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-03-15
This Privacy Policy explains how RadioX collects, uses, stores, syncs, and discloses information related to your use of the app.
1. Information We Process
Depending on the features you use and the platform you are on, RadioX may process the following categories of information.
1.1 Information You Provide
When you use the custom station feature, you may provide:
- Station name
- Stream URL
- Station description
- Country or region information
- Genre tags
- Website URL
- Custom icon
If you send support or feedback by email, the contents of your email and related information are processed by your email provider and our support channel.
1.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To provide app functionality, RadioX may store the following data locally on your device:
- Favorite stations
- Playback history
- Playback preference settings
- Theme or appearance preferences
- Local state associated with purchased subscription access
- Custom stations and locally stored custom icon files
This data is primarily stored on-device to support normal app behavior.
1.3 Subscription and Transaction Information
If you purchase RadioX Pro, Apple handles billing, renewal, purchase processing, and transaction verification. RadioX may receive and use limited subscription status information, such as:
- Purchased product identifiers
- Whether a subscription is currently active
- Whether a transaction has expired, been revoked, or been upgraded
RadioX does not directly process your full payment card information.
1.4 Advertising and Consent Information
On iOS, if you do not have an ad-removal entitlement, RadioX may use Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform to support:
- Ad loading and display
- Privacy or consent form presentation
- Determining whether ads may be requested
This may involve device identifiers, consent status, ad request metadata, and other technical data processed by Google SDKs under Google's own policies. The exact data elements and processing details are governed by Google and applicable platform policies.
1.5 Playback and Network Requests
When you play a station, the app sends network requests to third-party streaming servers. Those servers typically receive standard network-level information such as:
- Your IP address
- Request time
- Basic device or client network information
Those requests are generally handled by the selected stream provider or its infrastructure, not exclusively by RadioX.
1.6 Diagnostics and Logs
RadioX may generate local runtime logs and event logs for debugging, troubleshooting, and service state tracking. Based on the current project implementation, the app uses system logging for some events, and we did not identify separate custom third-party analytics code in the app source.
2. How We Use Information
We use information primarily to:
- Provide station discovery, search, playback, favorites, and history features
- Save your preferences and app state
- Save and manage custom stations you create
- Sync eligible data through iCloud when enabled
- Validate and refresh subscription entitlements
- Show ads and manage consent where applicable
- Handle support requests and troubleshooting
- Improve app stability, safety, and compatibility
3. Local Storage and iCloud Sync
RadioX uses local storage for favorites, history, settings, and custom station data.
If you use features that support sync and you have relevant Apple services enabled, some data may sync across your devices through Apple's iCloud or CloudKit infrastructure, particularly custom station data associated with RadioX Pro features. That sync is subject to Apple's terms, privacy practices, and your iCloud account settings.
4. Permissions
Based on the current app implementation, RadioX may request the following permissions.
Camera
Purpose: to let you take a photo for a custom station icon.
This permission is optional. If you deny it, you can still use most app features, but you will not be able to capture a custom icon directly with the camera.
Photos or File Import
If you choose to import a custom icon from your photo library or files, access is handled through Apple's standard platform permission and picker flows. RadioX only reads the image content that you explicitly select.
5. How Information May Be Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
To provide app functionality, your data may interact with the following categories of third parties:
- Apple: for subscriptions, purchase restoration, in-app review requests, and iCloud or CloudKit sync
- Google: for advertising and consent management on iOS
- Third-party stream providers: when loading and playing the station you select
- Your chosen email provider: when you use the feedback email link
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or enforce our terms.
6. Data Retention
We generally retain data for as long as needed to provide the relevant functionality:
- Favorites, history, settings, and custom stations: typically until you delete them, uninstall the app, or remove synced data
- Subscription state: until it is no longer needed to determine your current entitlement
- Local icon files: until you remove the related custom station or delete the icon
If data is synced through iCloud, retention may also depend on Apple's platform behavior and your account settings.
7. Your Choices and Controls
You can generally control your information by:
- Deleting favorites, history, or custom stations
- Editing or removing custom station icons
- Cancelling subscriptions
- Managing camera, photo, or file permissions in system settings
- Adjusting ad privacy options through the consent flow where available
- Uninstalling the app to remove local on-device data
If your data has been synced through iCloud, you may also need to manage that data through your Apple account or system settings.
8. Children's Privacy
RadioX is not designed specifically for children. Where required by law, minors should use the app with parental or guardian involvement.
9. International Transfers
Because Apple, Google, third-party streaming services, and internet infrastructure may operate in multiple countries or regions, related data may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in jurisdictions outside your own.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
RadioX may include external links, third-party stream URLs, email links, or third-party SDKs. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and data practices. You should review, as applicable:
- Apple's privacy policy and service terms
- Google's privacy policy and AdMob or UMP documentation
- The privacy policies of stations, stream providers, or websites you access through the app
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time for product, legal, platform, or operational reasons. The updated version becomes effective when posted. Your continued use of RadioX after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
