DualCam Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how DualCam (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. DualCam is a dual-camera video recording app for iOS. We have built the app to be private by design: your photos and videos stay on your device, and we do not operate any server that collects or stores your content.

Summary

• All recordings are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your videos or photos on any server we control.
• We do not collect personal information and we do not require you to create an account.
• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Camera and Microphone

DualCam requires access to your device’s cameras and microphone in order to provide its core function: previewing and recording video from the front and rear cameras at the same time.

• Camera and microphone data is used only to render the live preview and to record video while you are using the app.
• This data is processed on-device. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
• You can grant or revoke camera and microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera / Microphone, or from the app’s in-app permissions screen. Revoking access disables recording.

Photos and Saved Recordings

When you save a recording, the resulting video file is written to your device — to the app’s storage and/or to your Photo Library, depending on your choice and the permissions you grant.

• We only access your Photo Library to save videos you create or, where you ask, to let you manage recordings made with the app.
• Saved videos remain under your control. You can delete them at any time through the Photos app or the app itself.
• You can manage Photo Library access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

On-Device Features

Some features process your camera feed locally to produce a visual effect:

• Portrait / background effects apply blur or background replacement to the front-camera image. This processing happens entirely on-device.
• Privacy cover lets you hide one camera feed during recording. This is a local display feature and does not transmit anything.

None of these features send your image data off the device.

Purchases and Subscriptions

DualCam offers optional Pro features through in-app purchases, including auto-renewing subscriptions (Monthly, Yearly) and a one-time Lifetime purchase.

• All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit.
• We do not receive or store your name, credit card number, or other payment information. Apple handles payment and, for subscriptions, billing and renewal.
• The app receives a purchase/entitlement receipt from Apple solely to unlock the features you bought and to restore them across your devices. This is handled by Apple’s frameworks on-device.
• Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your Apple account: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, sell, or share:

• Your videos, photos, or audio recordings
• Your name, email address, or contacts
• Your precise or approximate location
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
• Usage analytics tied to your identity

Children’s Privacy

DualCam is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

Because your content stays on your device, its security is governed by your device’s own protections (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS encryption). We encourage you to keep your device secured and your operating system up to date.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version distributed with the app.
