ServerPanel Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
ServerPanel (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an SSH & SFTP client and server monitor for iPhone and iPad. We designed it to be privacy-first: your servers, credentials, and monitoring data live on your device (and, only if you enable it, in your own private iCloud) — never on our servers. This policy explains exactly what the app accesses, why, and what leaves your device.
Summary (the short version)
- We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
- We have no servers and no user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- The servers you add, your credentials, and your monitoring history stay on your device (and in your own iCloud, only if you enable iCloud sync).
- Your SSH credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain and are only ever sent to the server you are connecting to — never to us or any third party.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs.
- The only servers the app talks to are the servers you choose to add.
Information the app uses
Servers and connection details
To connect and monitor, ServerPanel stores the server details you enter — host, port, username, groups, and connection preferences — locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData. You can edit or delete any server at any time; deleting a server removes its configuration from your device.
Credentials (passwords and private keys)
When you add a server, your password or private key is stored in the iOS Keychain, the operating system’s encrypted credential store.
- Credentials are used only to authenticate to the server you are connecting to.
- They are never transmitted to us or any third party, and are never included in any analytics or diagnostic data (we collect none).
- Passphrase-protected keys are decrypted on your device at connection time.
- Removing a server deletes its stored credentials from the Keychain.
Monitoring and terminal data
Live metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network, load, processes, Docker container stats) and any terminal output are read directly from your own servers over your SSH connection and displayed on your device. Snippets, login scripts, and session history you create are stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to us.
Network connections
Your servers (SSH / SFTP)
The app’s core function is to open an SSH connection to the servers you add. All monitoring, the terminal, the SFTP file browser, and port forwarding happen over this direct connection between your device and your server. We are never in the middle of that connection, and no server data passes through us.
iCloud sync (optional, Premium)
If iCloud sync is available and you enable it, your server configuration and related data may be stored in your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so it can sync across your devices, protected by Apple’s end-to-end infrastructure. This data is held in your iCloud under Apple’s terms; we never have access to it. You can disable iCloud for ServerPanel in iOS Settings. Note: SSH credentials in the Keychain sync only via Apple’s own iCloud Keychain if you have that enabled in iOS.
Purchases (StoreKit)
Premium is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Purchase and subscription processing is handled entirely by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
- We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not create profiles or sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
- We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information.
- We do not run any backend that your server data passes through.
Widgets, Live Activities, and background checks
Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets, the Live Activity and Dynamic Island, and optional background threshold checks all use the same direct SSH connection to your own servers and store their data locally. They do not transmit anything to us.
Children’s privacy
ServerPanel does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your control over your data
Because everything is stored locally (or in your own iCloud), you are in full control:
- Delete a server: remove it in the app — its configuration and credentials are deleted from your device.
- Delete all data: delete the app, or use iOS to clear its data.
- Stop iCloud sync: disable iCloud for ServerPanel in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and publish the revised version with the app.
