Image Saver for Safari Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-29

Overview

Image Saver for Safari is a Safari extension that scans the web page you are already viewing, lists the images it finds, and lets you save the ones you pick. It works with images only — it does not handle audio or video. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server behind it. This policy explains what the extension accesses, how that access is used, and the choices you have.

Data We Collect

Image Saver does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. It does not gather your name, email, browsing history, page content, cookies, session data, IP address, or device identifiers. The extension asks Safari for only the access it needs to do its job:

  • Access to the page you are viewing (<all_urls> host access and a content script): used to read the page’s markup and stylesheets so it can list image tags and CSS background images. The page content is examined in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
  • Tab access: used to know which tab is active and to open the extension’s own full-screen view. It is not used to build a history of the sites you visit.
  • Local storage: used to remember your own settings — interface language and the smart-filter rules (hide duplicates, minimum width and height) — and to hand the current result list to the full-screen view. This stays in the browser’s local storage on your device.

How We Use Data

  • Scanning, filtering, de-duplicating, sorting, and previewing all happen locally in your browser.
  • When you tap a picture for its size or dimensions, or when you save or preview it, the extension requests that file directly from the website that hosts it — the same server your browser would contact if you saved the picture by hand. Nothing is routed through us.
  • Every file the extension fetches is verified to be an image before any of it can be saved; anything else is refused.
  • ZIP archives are assembled on your device, inside the browser. Files are never uploaded to build them.
  • CSV exports of the image list are generated locally and saved by you.

Data Storage

  • Your settings and language preference are stored in the browser’s local extension storage on your device.
  • Saved images and CSV exports are written wherever you choose to save them, through Safari’s normal download flow.
  • We operate no servers and hold no copy of anything you scan, preview, or save.
  • You can clear everything the extension has stored by removing the extension, or delete saved files at any time.

Sharing

Image Saver does not sell or share your data. It sends nothing to the developer and nothing to any third party. Files leave your device only if you choose to share them yourself.

Third-Party Services

The extension uses no analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-processing services, and it loads no remote code — all of its logic is packaged inside the extension. The only network requests it makes are to the image URLs on the page you are actively viewing, at your request. Image Saver is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no in-app purchases; payment is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store, and we never see your payment details.

Your Choices

  • You can turn the extension on or off, and change its website access, at any time in Safari’s Extensions settings on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  • You choose which pages to scan, which pictures to select, and what to save or export.
  • You can delete saved files and clear stored settings at any time.

Intellectual Property

Image Saver is a tool for saving images you are entitled to save. Pictures on the web are usually protected by copyright, and you are responsible for respecting the rights of their owners and the terms of the sites you visit.

Children’s Privacy

Image Saver is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
